Karla started playing the piano when she was 5 years old. She learned how to play organ when she was 12. She graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead Minnesota and moved to South Florida to teach at Douglas Elementary.
Karla started playing the organ at St. Paul more than 20 years ago. She has used her musical skills to involve singers and musicians of all ages to use their gift of music to enhance worship at St. Paul.
Karla and her husband Robert have two kids who are both teachers as well. Allison teaches at West Broward High School and Ben teaches at Cooper City High School.
Karla’s two favorite verses are “Be still and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10) and “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.” (Philippians 4:13)
