Nancy has been happily married for over 40 years to Bill Brath and has two grown children, Betty (Brath) Ammann and Reverend Billy Brath. Nancy worked as a Teacher’s Assistant and then secretary at Indian Trace Elementary and Cypress Bay H.S. for a total of 23 years. Nancy and her family were long-time members of Christ Lutheran, North Miami, where they met, married, and baptized their children. They were members of Our Savior, Plantation, while Betty and Billy attended elementary school and joined St. Paul in 1993. Bill and Nancy are the Godparents of the first baby baptized at St Paul in the mid-1980s! Nancy assisted Bill with both Jr. and Sr. youth for several years, and then started the college program, Campus Connections in 1990 and enjoyed working it until 2015. Nancy has been a Stephen’s Minister since 2002, and also serves as a Hospice Volunteer working with her two golden retrievers in the Vitas Paw Pal Program.
Nancy enjoys spending time reading, cooking, baking, decorating and loves to swim!
“Be still and know that I am God”, Psalm 46:10 has been Nancy’s most meaningful bible verse since she met Bill at Christ Lutheran in 1977.
