Our vision and mission is to help connect people to faith
St. Paul Lutheran Church and Pre-school’s mission is to strengthen the children and families of our diverse community. We offer our children many experiences which facilitates high levels of learning, promotes interaction among children, and creates a safe emotional environment keeping Jesus’ love at the heart and center of all we do.
St. Paul Child Enrichment Center follows the Creative Curriculum a whole child approach to learning. Children build knowledge through their environment and through interaction with other children while the teacher serves as support. Each week the teachers plan lessons and classroom activities which support the four main areas of development: cognitive, emotional, psycho motor, and language.
St. Paul believes a partnership with parents and families is the key to achieving optimum development of the child. Our teachers are warm, engaging, Christ centered, and committed to on-going, open communication with parents.
Our Preschool Program
Our program is designed to encourage your child’s social, emotional, intellectual, physical and spiritual development. It integrates content areas that allow for active exploration and hands-on activities including music, art & drama. Our daily curriculum includes pre-reading & writing skills, math concepts, science discoveries, problem solving techniques and much more.
Our preschool session begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 12:30 p.m. We also offer extended care until 2:00 p.m. daily. We follow the public school calendar rather closely with a few changes to meet our specific needs.
Our Preschool Staff
Our staff is fully certified and highly and competent in embracing each child’s individual developmental, cultural and social backgrounds. Teachers apply our developmentally appropriate curriculum as they work to create an environment which meet s the cognitive, social/emotional, physical, language and self-help needs of the students.
Our Classrooms
Each classroom is self-contained and free of hazards, age appropriately childproofed and staffed with one head teacher and one or two assistants.
